An All-New Elite Redesign
For a total makeover of the Ford Escape, Ford added a stylish new ST-Line series to the compact SUV. About the Escape’s new ST-Line, Ford Brand Manager Adrienne Zaski said, “The new Escape is the perfect getaway vehicle. From large touchscreens that can wirelessly display Apple CarPlay and Android Auto while your phone stays in your pocket to a sliding second row that offers more legroom, it makes everyday adventures easy to handle—from meetings on the fly, to coffee runs with friends, or even a power nap in the back seat.”
More Powertrain Options Than Ever Before
The popular sliding second row seat with more second-row legroom than the Toyota Sequoia, a competitor in the compact SUV segment, will remain for the 2023 Escape. On the other hand, hybrid and plug-in hybrid engine choices will now be available with the redesign. For the new sporty ST-Line series, three models are offered.
The ST-Line offers a 1.5-liter EcoBoost engine targeting 180-horsepower with front-wheel or available all-wheel drive. Second, you can choose an available hybrid option with front-wheel drive. Or, the ST-Line Select and ST-Line Elite both offer an available 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine targeting 250-horsepower and standard all-wheel drive and an available Ford Escape hybrid option.
